We’re thrilled to share that Party Onbici has been selected to participate in Austrade’s Southeast Asia Digital Health Bootcamp — Market Foundations program. This is a significant milestone in our journey to bring cycling wellness technology to new communities across the region.
What Is the Program?
The Southeast Asia Digital Health Bootcamp is run by Austrade (the Australian Trade and Investment Commission) to help Australian digital health companies expand into Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing markets.
The program combines structured market education with hands-on support, giving participating companies the tools and connections they need to understand local healthcare ecosystems, regulatory environments, and partnership opportunities across the region.
Why Southeast Asia?
Southeast Asia is home to over 680 million people and a digital economy projected to reach US$1 trillion by 2030. The region is experiencing a surge in health and wellness technology adoption, driven by a young, mobile-first population that increasingly values preventive health.
Cycling is already a growing movement in cities like Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City — where urban cycling infrastructure is expanding and community ride culture is flourishing. We see a tremendous opportunity to support these communities with the same tools that our Australian, European, and South American riders rely on every day.
How This Fits Our Mission
At Party Onbici, we believe that cycling is one of the most accessible forms of exercise and community building. Our app helps people organise group rides, track their fitness, and stay safe on the road — wherever they are in the world.
Participating in this bootcamp allows us to:
- Understand local needs — Learn how cycling wellness intersects with digital health priorities in each market
- Build partnerships — Connect with local health organisations, cycling communities, and technology partners
- Prepare for expansion — Lay the groundwork for bringing Party Onbici to Southeast Asian riders with the right localisation and market fit
What’s Next
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working through the program’s market foundations curriculum, engaging with mentors and in-market experts, and developing our go-to-market strategy for the region.
We’ll share updates as we progress through the bootcamp — including insights we pick up along the way about cycling culture and digital health trends across Southeast Asia.
In the meantime, if you’re a cyclist in Southeast Asia (or anywhere else), we’d love for you to join the Party Onbici community.
