Every great ride is better with company. The friend who talks you up the last hill, the mate who knows the perfect coffee stop, the crew that turns a Sunday spin into a proper outing — riding together is the whole point.
So we made it effortless to bring them along. You can now invite friends to any ride straight from its page — and they don’t even need an account to see what they’re being invited to.
What’s new
There’s a new Invite Friends button on every ride page. Tap it, drop in your friends’ email addresses, add a quick note if you like, and hit send. Each friend gets a beautifully formatted invitation with everything they need to decide — and a single tap to open the ride.
No copying links into a dozen separate messages. No “wait, where does it start again?” No one left out.
How to invite your friends
It takes about fifteen seconds:
- Open the ride you want to share — yours or one you’re joining.
- Tap Invite Friends in the sidebar.
- Enter email addresses — paste a whole list separated by commas or new lines. You can invite up to ten friends at once.
- Add a personal note (optional) — “Come ride with us along the harbour, it’ll be a great morning!”
- Tap Send invitations. Done.
We’ll quietly skip anyone who’s already going or already been invited, so nobody gets a duplicate.
What your friends receive
Your invitation isn’t a bare link — it’s the whole picture. Each friend gets an email with:
- The ride details — name, date, departure time, and where it starts and finishes.
- A map of the route, so they can see exactly where the ride goes.
- Your personal note, if you added one.
- A “View the ride” button that takes them straight to the ride page.
And here’s the nice part: they don’t need a Party Onbici account to open the invitation. The email shows them everything, and the link drops them right onto the ride — they can sign up in a moment if they want to join in.
Little touches we love
- It speaks their language. Invitations are sent in your language, so your message reads naturally to the people you’re inviting.
- It respects privacy. You can only invite friends to rides you’re able to see, so private and members-only rides stay that way.
- It’s friendly to inboxes. A clean, mobile-ready email that looks great whether your friend opens it on their phone at breakfast or their laptop at lunch.
