After the big 2.0 launch, we spent this release making the new group-ride experience stable, fast, and effortless to share. Party Onbici 2.0.1 is a polish-and-performance update: riders show up on the map instantly, deep links open straight into the app, sign-in is cleaner, and a stack of crashes is gone.
Here’s what changed.
🚴 Group rides, rock solid
The biggest focus of 2.0.1 was making live group rides behave exactly as you’d expect, from the very first second.
- Instant visibility. Your location and everyone else’s now appear on the map immediately — no more waiting for the first server update before you can see the group.
- Sharper, upright avatars. Rider profile photos stay crisp and the right way up; a separate arrow tracks your heading so you always know which way you’re pointed.
- Off-screen radar. When a teammate rides beyond the edge of your view, an indicator on the screen edge shows where they are, so nobody gets lost.
- One-tap controls. A single tap now toggles the participants list and re-centres the map on the whole group.
- Discover without signing in. Public parties are visible on the map before you log in — see what’s rolling near you straight away.

🔗 Deep links & sharing
- Party links open the app directly. Tapping a shared party link now jumps straight into Party Onbici instead of bouncing through your browser first.
- Better card thumbnails. Shared route cards now show your journey with clear start and end markers, so the preview actually looks like your ride.
🔐 Sign-in & account
- Device-approval 2FA. Add an extra layer of security with two-factor authentication you approve with a push notification — tap to confirm it’s really you, no codes to type.
- Profile editing on new accounts. Editing your profile now works correctly right after you sign up.
- Clearer sign-in messages. No more confusing “not authenticated” pop-ups — sign-in prompts now say what they actually mean.
📊 Widget timeframes
Your Weekly Impact home-screen widget can now show more than just the week.
- Android: tap the widget to cycle through Week / Month / Year / All Time.
- iOS 17+: change the timeframe from Edit Widget.
🐛 Crash fixes
We tracked down and squashed the crashes you reported most:
- Opening Ride History from the home screen.
- The offline route creator when clearing pins mid-calculation.
- The location picker in certain entry flows.
⚡ Performance
- Faster startup. Release builds skip debug logging entirely, so the app opens quicker.
- Faster widget refresh on Android.
- Faster ride sync when you’re uploading several rides at once.
✨ Other fixes
- The Weekly Impact widget no longer shows wildly wrong trend percentages.
- Party Details now displays the correct scheduled date.
- Bike paths and roads use distinct colours on the party map, so routes are easier to read.
- Notifications now appear in your language across all 21 supported languages.
Update now
2.0.1 is available on the App Store and Google Play. If your phone hasn’t updated on its own, grab it from your store today.
